It was our first time in Budapest and we were very happy with this hostel. The staff were very helpful and friendly. People respected food if you bought from the grocery store and left it in the fridge with your name on it. The common room and kitchen were clean. The bathrooms got dirty everyday because the floors were tile and people wore dirty sandals into the bathroom, but they were cleaned every morning. The hostel is easy to find from the airport, we took a taxibus and the price was cheap.

I think the biggest set back was the location. It is great during the day but at night it feels very unsafe due to the fact there isn't much lighting on that street. It feels like a back ally. You can have lots of fun and they have a great lounge room and the staff is very friendly. You can also get a pad lock if you desire a locker for your backpack.
We understand your fears but really this is one of the safest areas of budapest which is already an extremely safe town- if u have been to Amsterdam or Barcelona in the middle of the day i honestly believe u have exposed your self to more risk than running around Budapest all night drunk- Budapest can look run down but pls dont mistake that with danger or ghettoesque crime. Astoria is a busy area with night shops and people at all times. Although we are right next to the Astoria intersection its true that our street is quiet and rather empty of cars - its quiet because nothing happens there no robberies, no stalking, no suicide bombers, nothing much exciting at all except drunken tourists wadling back to the hostel- thats why we chose this street to operate in its quiet safe yet central to the party area and sights.

Every time I visit Budapest,I only stay with this hostel.They greet me like a member of their family,and they know my preferences already.The staff treats guests here with more friendliness and attentiveness than many 4-5 star hotels.

This hostel was perfect. A superb common room where you can watch your favourite movies and tv series, free snacks to eat, great hospitality and cheerful staff. It has a great location and easy to access by metro. What more can you ask?

I have stayed in several hostel before,and this one is definitely the number one this far.The location is excellent,it is close to shopping,business,and entertainment.Two major subway stations are just minutes away.The hostel's cleanliness is way above avarage compared to other hostels in this category.Heating works,which is important when it's freezing cold outside.Movies are shown every day for your entertainment.The price is unbeatible,I paid about 50 Euros for three nights stay (with tax),wh
