- “ Good location, friendly staff. One of the bedrooms isn't far from the bar/common room, so it can be a little noisy, but there are other rooms further away if you need to move. recommended. ”

- “ Nice clean hostel with a breakfast and hot showers. Big lockers to store your stuff, wifi that works, fun bar area with pool and balcony to sit and sip chelas. This historic home is a nice bright hostel which is located by all the must see areas. A quick bus ride to Miraflores get you to the beach, calle de pizzas where all the discos rock and surfing. I enjoyed the helpfulness and friendliness of the staff who were able to help me get my ipad fixed which crashed and sim cards. ”

- “ Enough CANNOT be said about how completely fabulous 1900 Backpackers is! The staff is courteous, the place is magnificent, the beds are comfortable. HOT showers! Delicious breakfast....laid back atmosphere in the heart of the city. This is a 5 star hostel. Do yourself a favor and splurge at least one night in a private room if you can, but otherwise- no matter where you stay- this place is fantastic! HIGHLY recommended! Two thumbs way up! ”

- “ Very nice atmosphere to this hostel. Ceasar the owner is a cool guy who hangs around the hostel and all staff are very helpful whenever we had any questions. Big lockers in the dorm, nice bed, computers with good wifi, a tv couch and a pool table. Location was great as well. Hostel could probably use a bit of renovation but nothing that bothered me at all. Would definitely recommend! ”

- “ Located across from the Art Museum and all kinds of markets, not far from the palace, main plazas, china town etc. Definitely walkable if you don't mind. Can catch a combi to Mira Flores easily, doesn't take too long and is cheap. A few bus terminals are close as well (Flores, Civa, Movil). Breakfast is just the standard rolls and jam, but there is a kitchen to use. ”

- “ loved the staff and the people I met there. They even grilled in the rooftop for us. I liked better this area than miraflores, I felt it more authentic. Will go there in my way back to Lima. ”

- “ My stay in this hostel was incredible. The staff were friendly and laid back, always willing to help. The hostel itself had a certain je ne sais quoi and had a definite pervading ambience that was absent from the other hostels I stayed in during the trip. The room was clean and comfortable, and the internet facility was invaluable in planning further travels. They were even kind enough to let me take a shower and store my bag when I returned to Lima a week later. Wouldn't hesitate to recommend. ”

- “ I was sold on the building as soon as I opened the front door and saw the wide, winding marble staircase with the wooden banister. The hostel, exudes the charm of another age with its' ceiling of about 25' high. Located in the historic district district, a prime location. There is plenty of hot water, the beds are so... comfortable, the hostel is spotless and there are ilarge, ndividual lockers. The staff is more than accommodating as they are welcoming, warm and gracious. This is a winner! ”

- “ 1900 is an excelent choice. Don´t expect a luxury kind of hotel. However, it is an amazing example of heritage recovery in Central Lima. The hostel is administered by its owners. I met Cesar. The "palace" was his grandfathers family house and it has been restaured so that tourists and travelers can enjoy part of the Peruvian history. Hotel is very clean with more than decent service. The athmosphere is cool and best of all, the staff. We had some beers with Cesar who showed me around Lima Center ”

- “ Their happy hour is good. They have good pisco and beer. Always clean and with friendly staff. Ask them to tell you about bars in the area. one night we went out to one of them that it would have been impossible to find it with out him. It was in a basement and they were playing piano and drums and they have a dancing floor in a place next to it in the same basement. worth going! ”

- “ The staff was very helpful. It was our first day in Peru and the front desk staff (Ani) helped us with many things, from sightseeing to transport tips and hostel facilities. My only suggestion is that probably the hostel can refurbish the rooms because although it feels authentic, at the same time it feels very old. ”

- “ This hostel was absolutely great. The location allows you to visit downtown, museums and tourists areas. It is close by the supermarket, shopping mall and is near by Metropolitano Central Station. The staff in reception were very helpful, from helping me to deal with phone calls in spanish to ordering me a taxi. The building was in very good condition and always clean. They even let me keep my backpack in their storage for a couple of days as I was going away and didn't need all of my luggage. The bed was ”
