“ On the surface, this place seems great. Central location, big common room w/ a kitchen, spacious rooms and relatively clean. However, the common room closes at 11pm and then there is nowhere to hang out, other than your room. So as a result, you don't really meet anyone, can't access your food, and also if there's a group travelling together, they simply turn your room into the hang out/party space and there's no staff to stop it. Also the kitchen is very poorly equipped, never cutlery ”

“ Stayed in this hostel for two nights with 4 friends. I have a few major issues with this place. 1. Staff was incredibly rude. I almost got into a fight with the person at the front desk about the luggage room key when I asked him about it. 2. Too many rules. You can't drink or eat in the rooms, need to hold onto a bunch of paperwork in order to get a 10 euro deposit back, etc etc. This is honestly the only hostel I've stayed at with such a laundry list of rules for guests. 3. “ Good location, very comfortable beds. But I found the staff to be pretty rude and useless. The internet wasn't working on anyones phones and the staff didn't do anything to try and fix it. They close the common room/kitchen in the middle of the day for a couple hours and then it closes at 11 pm everynight until the following morning. This is super inconvenient since you probably don't want to go to sleep at 11 but there is no where else to go hang out since they close the common room. ”

“ The hostel is averagely good. Location is not right middle of tourists' spot, but, it is in walking area. Room & facilities are clean. Staffs were nice and helpful. There is NO breakfast. They provide you hot coffee and drinks every morning though(07:30 to 10:00). And kitchen is opened to cook. There were too much "NO"s - kind of curfew, reception closing hours, no breakfast, etc. To sum up, It is relatively good for budget travelers.. ”

“ It is NOT acceptable the way the manager treated us at the reception: extremely rude and impolite. Threatening and yelling at us with sentences like: "Have you got any problem with me?! uh!" or "If you want to sleep in my hostel you MUST follow my rules, otherwise get the f*** out NOW!". We didnt do anything, he just imagined that my face looked upset (dont know why). I dont recommend that experience to anyone. He def went too far, for nothing at all. Hostel smelly, no breakfast,poorest Quality. ”

“ The location was really convenient to both the de Brouckere stop and the major sites, including Grande Place. The WiFi wasn't working when we were there so that was a bummer, and the heat in our room wasn't working either. It was extremely cold in the room! They make you pay a 10 euro deposit for sheets and the room card, so be aware of that. Also, you have to pay your remaining balance in CASH. ”

“ It's a nice hostel for slepping, and that's all. The reception is closed in the afternoon and after 11pm, you cant even use the kitchen in these periods of time. ”

“ the basement room was really stuffy/warm. more light fixtures would have been helpful as there was only 1 light switch for the lights in the whole room. having a few light switches around the room would be nice so that you don't have to turn on all the lights when getting ready for bed while someone else is already asleep. they lock the door from the common area to the basement so you have to go up to the first floor, across and then back down into the basement ”

“ The room was clean, the staff were friendly and helpful and the location was excellent. These are the three main things I believe when deciding on a hostel and this hostel had them all. The negatives would be the complete lack of an atmosphere, the reception hours and the closing of the communal area at 11pm when usually people want to mingle etc. I would recommend people to stay here but not for the atmosphere! ”

“ 1 Security - Front door lock wasn't functioning properly, and reception was gone at 23:00 2 Location - Fantastic close to the station, and the center 3 Staff - Awesome, I was kinda needy, and they more than took care of me! 4 Atmosphere - Large clean hostel, but common area closed at 23:00 5 Cleanliness - Really good 6 Value - good value Facilities - Good, but for a lot of people, cramp ”

“ Very clean and safe, close to center of brussels and they give u new sheets everytime. No bed bugs!!! They clean ur room every day and the facilities are in ur room. The extras are under construction but still working. The sexond hostel by the grand place, is under construction, but i can tell it will be amazing. I recommend it to anyone staying in brussels. ”
