A pleasant place to stay with a good atmosphere. Be aware that when you book a tour through the hostel to Hua Shan, it takes 5 hours (rather than 2 hours by public transport) to get there as the Chinese tour company stops at different places along the route, including a herbal medicine centre.

The food was nice and everyone was very friendly and helpful. The courtyard was a nice place to chill out in and have a nice cold beer.

Although this seems like the perfect place to stay in XI'an at first glance, once I had more experience with the staff I began to get a bad taste in my mouth from the hostel. Only one staff member seemed like a genuinely helpful person while the rest of the staff seemed bothered by anyone that asked even a simple question. The hostel itself was near nothing expect a nice park and the staff didn't seem very interested in helping us get around.

Absolutely brilliant place. Would highly recommend. About 10min walk from the train station and in a good part of town away from all the noise. Staff are extremely friendly and go out of their way to help you. The room we had was super clean and we couldn't fault it. Onsite bar / food and fun was great and the little live in beagle dog topped it off. This is a very underrated hostel and I would most definitely stay here again and recommend it to everyone.

Fun place to meet people, very clean, although it seems to have become a chic place for middle-aged Chinese to stay as well, in addition to your average scruffy backpacker.

Reception staff friendly, rooms clean and building quite charming. However, the bar staff wasn't very friendly, they charge for internet and their location isn't as convenient to the center as other hostels. Xi'an is getting pretty hot (early June) and the main roads are under massive construction so walking and bussing were a bit tiring (though taxis are very cheap). Though the place is nice, other hostels also get very good remarks so if we went again we would stay elsewhere.

This is a really nice hostel. The staff could not have been more helpful. The walls of the room were a bit damp but the bathrrom was great, lots of hot water and fantastic towels.

A cozy little place with a decent breakfast. It is not directly next to anything but it is extremely easy to get to all the sites. The biggest complaint was the drain in the bathroom emitting a noticeable (not overwhelming though) odor. Other than that the bathroom in our ensuite double was magnificent. Great water pressure and spacious.

This place was a great value for the money. There is a long history at this hostel and many famous people have stayed. (Most of them were Chinese generals) The place is very safe because its beside some military thing. (I forgot what it was). And getting here from the train station was so easy.
