i was in one of the dorm rooms. they have motel character, have new furniture (even a hairdryer is in the room!) and are quite clean. but i don't recommend this one if you arrive late at night, because it is in a residential area, therefore not that central and not so easy to find. careful: renting the bed sheets costs 3 euros.

Really enjoyed my stay here, good bar after a long day travelling, helpful staff, directions hard to follow from rail station though

I boobed a 4 bed dorm. This consisted of 2 beds against each other in turn jammed against 2 bunks. To get access to the bunks you needed to climb over a bed. Not really staisfactory especially for the rate of 26 euros. I will not be staying there again

There was a boy in my room who had his laptopstolen while all of us were out. This is very bad, especially because the staff did not care about his problem, and the directions to get there are very bad, the worst hostel ever

We went on a tuesday so there wean't much going on. The staff was friendly and informative. However, the directions for the hostel were not detailed enough on the website. There should have been more direction, such as when exiting the subway, describing what exit you would go out of would be helpfull or inform the people to go down the hill and turn left on the street.

The hostel was very clean and nice, it was more like a hotel. It was nice to have a T.V. in every room but one english channel (maybe the BBC or something) would have been nice. It was very quiet at night and although the lounge/bar area is quite cosy there isn't much to do in the hostel or surrounding areas. Although it's not nearly as far away from the center of Hamburg as people made it out to be. Ask at the train station for subway directions, I think they're changing one of the lines and there's an easier way to get to Hammerkirsche than the way the hostel directions say.

Some informations on the website hostelworld.com were different from the informations we got at the hostel, e.g. breakfast and bed-linen included/excluded. This shouldn't happen!!!

Well well... the hostel would have been alright, except that when we stepped into our room we were hit with the worst possible small of Body Odour in the world. Smelt like an orgee had taken place in the room over night. Disgusting. Also, although we had paid more for a 4 sleeper room than a dorm, we had a random man slotted into our room, and no further money was refunded for the dorm circumstances. I feel that I if PAY MORE to sleep in a room with fewer people, that's exactly what I should get. On last thing, the directions to the hostel that they send you are incorrect. When you exit the station do not follow the road forward, but turn around (left from station) and walk in opposite direction. Thanks though... wasn't that bad!

I have booked an 8-bed female dorm but in the end I was allocated to a 4-bed dorm with males. Quite a surprise.

the rooms are small, but you have a private bathroom (for 6 people), you can move from there to everywhere in the city by metro, the internet it is not free , and you have to pay for blankets and towers, but it is clean, and nice place. you need to look for ofers, because if you try to get a room in the same day when you arrive, maybe it will be more expensive.
