This hostel has no character whatsoever. When we arrived, they were reconstructing a part of the lobby, so maybe it will get better. It doesn't feel that safe as the door knobs to the rooms look weak and like they have been forced. Staff was good though and location is cool, at least for the nightlife in St. Pauli, just next to Beatlesplatz. There's an ATM machine in the hostel which can be useful. i had to check out day early and i informed them day before.my room rate was for a private room 45 euro.i paid the hotel bill in cash at the front desk when I arrived.when i went to check out my one day unused was not refunded.I was told I had to get the money from hostel.comwhich i did not believer but could not do anything about it.it was the front office manager.I would like one night credit for use during my next stay.that would be nice. peter, from USA ~ 29th Sep 2011

Hotel is in the center of red district - some of you may find this as a plus, some of you - as a minus. It reminds eastern europe hotels - very "cold" and unpleasant. And it's totally overpriced. 60 euros per room per night - you can get a very decent alternative somewhere else. Gladly, we stayed there only one night. Oh, and internet is 1 eupo per hour.
