Very, very poor.. Was Charged 12USD for complimentary airport pick up. Taken to a different Hotel which was owned by the same people claiming there were no rooms at A-Z hotel. Charged us Almost double and didnt honour disposit paid to hostel world. The following hotels are owned by the same thieves so avoid like the plague. A-Z, Hanoi queen (1+2), Darling cafe and there may be others they all respond with the same email address davidhao1687@hotmail.com.. Avoid at all costs.. PS rooms were also very dirty and had some strange dripping ooze from the roof and no windows

We arrived at this hotel to find it doesn't exist. We were then taken to another hotel which went by the name of Lotus hotel and Queen hotel. This hotel had our booking however was not the A-Z hotel??? Apparently our hotel was closed for 3mths?? Hotel was nice however and same rates applied so no complaints.

We stayed for two nights and then returned for another night later in the week. We were quite upset because despite reservations and confirming reservations, they had given our room away and tried to put us in a less pleasant hostel for the same price. When we came back and complained they made it right and amazingly had rooms in their hostel available. They also never had a double bed as requested and we always had twins. The staff was helpful with taxi service and wake up calls

Dear Staff at A to Z Salute Hostel , Please note that I have emailed the following message to Frommer`s Travel Guide. I will send a similar message to Trip Advisor shortly: "I wish to bring to your attention and highly recommend a new hotel in Hanoi, which has just very recently opened. I have travelled extensively but have never before taken the trouble to write to you or any similar organization to recommend a hostel, but I was so pleased with the great value and outstanding service of the A to Z Salute Hostel that I felt obliged to do so. There is more than one hostel in Hanoi called theA to Z Salute Hostel and I am only familiar with the one at 12 dao duy tu lane(a relatively more quiet street in the old quarter), , email address:davidhao1687@hotmail.com. I do not know if it is anyway affiliated with any other hostel of the same name. The hostel has rooms offered at US$15 and $US$25per night (with discounts negotiable for stays longer than several days). All rooms have desk top computers with free internet access in the rooms, and are quiet and spotless with polished hardwood floors and new furniture etc. The rooms on the front of the building have large pleasant balconies over the street. The service is friendly, professional and more enthusiastic than I have ever experienced. When we returned from being away from Hanoi for several days without a reservation and the hotel was fully booked, they bent over backwards to find us another room, to the extent of the Manager personally taking us to view the rooms at alternate hostels (sadly none of which compared to the A to Z Salute Hostel ). As it happened because of our desire for flexibility and using Hanoi as a base for travel around Hanoi we were in and out of Hanoi several times and we had not made advance reservations so several times the hotel couldn`t accommodate us several nights on different occasions and consequently we stayed in 5 hostels in Hanoi ranging from the price of the A to Z Salute Hostel to US$50. None was nicer and none compared in value to the A to Z Salute Hostel ." Thank you for looking after us so well in Hanoi. Yours truly, Greg Arsenault
