very noisy with doors being opened and slammed until about 2.30 as well as the managers' room above my room. Velda-Jane, from New Zealand ~ 5th Feb 2012

I had a great time at the Bourbon House Hostel. It was what I expected from a hostel. I met some cool travelers and had some great dorm companions during my stay. The people that run this hostel are GREAT!Friendly and willing to help you in any way they can.I was picked up by the shuttle at the airport and they were punctual for my pickup at the airport as well as my pickup to leave. My grades: Beds - C (but expected), free pancakes - A, service - A, cleanliness - A, security - A, Cost - A+ Shane, from USA ~ 21st Jan 2012

Wes, Denver, You guys are great hosts and easy to talk to.Refreshing on a long trip with a pack of future lawyers. "Excellent"s across the board of course. Don't be flattered by that, though. Do be flattered that I even bothered to do the review. Usually don't so much as consider it.Anyway, great job. It's pcdales "at" gmail if you want to be in touch or Philip Dales on fb. Jealous of the path you've struck. Keep it up and enjoy! Philip, from USA ~ 19th Jan 2012

The staff members were very helpful and accommodating they also recommended several things to do in New Orleans and had advice about bus/trolley lines, etc. Highly recommended! Lauren, from USA ~ 18th Jan 2012

AAE Bourbon House was a good place to stay at. The facilities were clean and well maintained (with the exception of missing toilet paper for about half a day - not that big of a deal). Blankets are a little thin, so if it gets below freezing like it did when we were there, ask for another one! Half of the staff was super friendly and helpful, but there were a few that seemed interested to give you the whole spiel upon arrival very quickly and then seemed annoyed with you when you asked them for Abigail, from USA ~ 6th Jan 2012

The place was clean, located in the Garden District of New Orleans, and within walking distance from the French Quarter (25 min.). Wes and Denver were great hosts and will help you out with whatever you may need. Free pancakes & coffee in the morning. Definately a nice place to stay in New Orleans. The only problem is they have a maximum stay of 7 days, which can be a problem if you plan to stay in that city longer... Alexandre, from Canada ~ 30th Dec 2011

A fantastic hostel. The staff are friendly, helpful, and very attentive. The location of the hostel is about a mile south of downtown. An easy walk there, but also many great nearby eateries and places of interest. This would easily be one of the best hostels I've stayed at. Seth, from USA ~ 23rd Nov 2011
