  • Kitchen needs to be cleaner and up date. Some of the appliances did not work. Bathrooms and rooms need painting.

  • A bit loud during the night for people running around the hostel and partying but fine bed, nice connection to the city and the transport system and good for the price.

  • Even the website was showing $15.40 at the time of booking per day, they are charging around $19.04 per day including all(booking charge + tax). When i asked for bill for $19.04 per day, they had given the bill for only $17.50. Here the atmosphere is good. But, the room temperature was not being maintained at early mornings.

  • The refund policy sinks, And for the price you pay you should be able to pass a day to another person if you choose to leave early, to help them out.........

  • Staff were not friendly or helpful. We were on the third floor with not lift. The area is scary and we had people shouting at us when we left the hostel. We did not feel we could go out after dark. There was no atmosphere. No laundry facilities. Very outdated deco, Bed did feel safe, with the top bunk not having a bar across it. We went through 4 keys as every time we used them it was a fight. cooking facilities were hard to use with the oven not really heating up at all.

  • This looks like student's dorm. But it has kitchen, TV and couch. It is very good for people not expecting much for resonable price (it is not very cheap, it is just resonable). Neighbourhood is not so nice, but the most dangerous place is some distance from the hostel, so you can come back after 10PM. It was good just to sleep and eat something. Oh, and even the hostels.com accepted my booking reservation via PayPal, European Hostel refused to book the bed for me without Credit Card.

  • The staff is professional and polite. I wouldn't say they're outgoingly friendly, but they were respectful and helpful. The beds are rather uncomfortable, with the mattresses so thin you feel the metal frame underneath. The bunk beds are also very creaky, so you're guaranteed to wake everyone up if you so much as roll over.

  • You need to buy your own lock for a locker. But I had no problem with leaving my stuff in the room.

  • This hostel was very nice and very clean. I have stayed in many hotels and the best thing about this hostel was the hot water (international travelers know what I am taking about). The staff was very friendly and helpful. Rooms were cleaned daily. Great place to meet international travelers.

  • Led to believe the price on this site included taxes, but ended up paying $60 more with taxes. There's also no parking, so you'll need to pay for it per night at a parking garage (so with the price of that added) you might just want to stay at a motel that's got parking included & be a little better off with somewhere more reputable. Anyway, my friends and I stayed here for SF Pride so everything was booked & we didn't plan far enough in advance. Plan ahead, but if you can't- it'll do.

  • The location is in a dangerous zone, with mad man in the streets, 5 blocks away from the Tenderloin (most dangerous part of SF) and is located in a small lonely street. If you don´t plan to go out at night you´re safe. In side everything was OK.
