My stay was pretty awesome. This place was as close to a hotel as you can get without having to pay for it. Excellent service. Amazing location. I was never too far from anything I wanted to do.

The rooms were better than I expected for the price I paid for them; however mine didn't have a TV or a fridge as advertised, but that was ok since I didn't really need either of them. Housekeeping comes too early at about 9AM each day, which didn't provide for the best sleep at times. The biggest downside was having to pay about $6/day for internet. Overall though, my stay was pretty decent.

It's like a cross between a hostel and a hotel. The staff was very professional and helpful like a nice hotel. I had a private room since I needed to get some work done, so I didn't really meet anyone. The hostel itself was quiet but the street was a little noisy and the windows let a lot of noise in. So if you are a light sleeper maybe ask for a room higher up so you will be farther from the street. The twin bed was pretty comfortable but the pillow wasn't. If you have means to bring your own p

Comfortable and clean. San Diego's attractions are widely spread out (each is about a $25 fare from this place), but the hostel is within walking from the main party district (gaslamp), and is close to the freeway exit for quick escapes and returns to the beaches and balboa park.
For a cheap bed in the middle of town this place is great. Service was helpful and professional.
Note: I missed this in the conditions; there is a $125 returned deposit to be paid on arrival.
David, Thanks for kind words..especially to the staff. we try hard. Glad you noticed our great location, we thinks its the best because we are next door to Amtrack, down street is Greyhound, and the Mexico Trolley outside our door! Come see us again

Great value at $20/night. Located right on the trolley line. There's nothing to do at the hostel itself but that's ok because it's right in the heart of downtown. Nice kitchen but I never took advantage of it myself, though. Wifi is not free (about $6 for 24 hours) which was kind of disappointing but at least they have it and the price is decent. Staff were very nice and helpful.
Thanks for noticing staff and our great location..try our kitchen out next time. Come see us again,

The hotel was quiet, that surprised me. I barely met anybody on the halls, there was always room in the kitchen. Walking distance to the ocean, few fast food places and restaurants near by. You cannot beat the price. Thanks

I had a very nice stay. the hostel is pretty convenient to all the downtown fun. room was small but clean and functional. shared bathrooms were clean and always available. more like a hotel than a hostel, no real common room, didn't really meet other hostellers, but for a decent room, this was a good deal.

Bathrooms are single person accessed by your room key so no bank of naked people all in the shower together

Sehr gute Lage!
