I didn't feel comfortable at this place at all. It seems like a place for drifters and druggies. The staff was nice and the rooms were good but it doesnt make up for the uneasy feeling I got being there.

Barra is much safer than Pelourinho at night. The hostel is well located near the beach and it's a good place for socializing and meeting people. It doesn't have the friendliest staff ever though... i would even say rigid. The breakfast is also more than average and they charge 5 reais if u want to store your luggage. Come on, that's ridiculous.

Beautiful hostel with greast staff. Shame there is no bar. The only reason I marked it down on location ( as it is a 2 min walk from the beach ) is the area itself isnt very safe at night at all. From my own experience and people we met staying in the same area.

I really liked this hostel. It was exactly what I expected - no unpleasant surprises. Breakfast was awesome!
