i thought abba hostel was cool. the staff were very friendly and helpful, particularly the older guy who runs it. theres no curfew although you cant go out after midnight and it wasnt the cleanest place, but the location is amazing! seriously couldnt be better.. met heaps of cool people there too. if your after a posh place thats super clean and new then its not for you, but really it's fine for a bed for a few nights. i recommend it for sure

The location was central, but the rooms were very noisy as you overlook the busy street. Also, the bathrooms were disgusting, as was the common room. I would not go back here.

Excellent location right next to the port but, the beds had dirt and hair all over so bring your own sheets theirs were gross, towels for 2 euro were not even clean at all...stay only if you are desperate!

The most disgusting hostel I´ve ever stayed in, by far. The comments that say this place is great are probably from the manager himself. The lockers were unsafe and could have been picked with a paper clip, the manager was disgusting and rude, and I saw the used sheets from a previous tenant´s bed remade for the next occupant. I also woke up to a naked man who looked like he had been previously homeless, staring at me in my bed.

This was a great hostel. Very near the beach and Las Ramblas. It was a quiet hostel because drinking and smoking were not allowed inside, which was actually a nice change. We met some very cool people, in fact I wish we had made a contact with some of them. The staff was very helpful in letting us know where to find things, etc.

The only fan in a room of 16 people was broken. The bathroom was dirty. Sheets and towels cost extra. It costs five euros more for a bed if booked through hostelworld than through hostel website or turning up. The guy working there was rude and kept people waiting until checkout to let them know if they could stay another night before selecting a few on the condition that they wrote a good review on hostelworld. The others weren´t allowed to store luggage whilst they went to find another hostel.

Poor sleeping arrangements in dorm, especially during crowded summers. This entire hostel needs to be renovated and cleaned up. Needs a lot of investment in the common area (which sucks) and the dorm room. Location is fine, but if you choose to stay, far better to drink away at the bars all night and just crash at the room when exhausted.

you will be paying for location....i had fun and met lots of great people but it was pretty gross....the beds are very uncomfortable and the showers were small and gross but we thought it was worth it just for the location.....short stroll to the beach
