for 35 dollars a night, we enjoyed a big suite with a "shared bathroom" we were the only two touse. We took advantage of a a big bedroom, a living-room with a kitchen and a valuable big bathtube (appreciable when it's 10 degrees C outside). The area is not exactly close to the main monuments but it's a student area that allowed us to really feel the vibes of Boston and its busrsting character. clemence, from France ~ 9th Jan 2012

my experience was not good. Actually, the location of Farrington Inn is very nice. I stayed 3 nights just encountering historical snow strom before halloween. There was smell in the corridor. RATS! Bed bugs! Do not be fooled by published pictures... You will most likely be staying in a building next door that is in TERRIBLE condition!! The entire place smells of excrement. This was the most horrendous hostel we've ever been in- its v overpriced, dirty (lots of dark long hairs on the bathroom floor and a blocked toilet), the locks on the doors are very flimsy, there are no lockers and the manager hides away. There was one nice girl who worked there- we went to her on the last day of our stay since we had a horrendous last evening- some people in the 'apartment' next to us partied rowdily until 7am- the time we had to wake and get ready for our flight. The staff was incredible, and they even helped me get a room despite an error by me with the booking.The closest I can come to a complaint is that the bedroom we stayed in had a peculiar smell, but I am not too upset because the staff had to find some sort of last moment accommodation and beggars cannot be choosy during a Saturday night. My goal was to be able to sleep in a clean bed and take a shower, and that is what they delivered.I would definitely give them a try again in the future. Don, from USA ~ 21st Oct 2011
