Great breakfasts, adequate bathroom facilities, close to bus terminal, very convenient. Also, close to trendy art gallery hip area, but didn't find out until we left. We had a private room for two, was great. Thumbs up for Copenhagen! Michelle, from USA ~ 13th Oct 2009

Generally a good hostel for the right price. Expect what you pay for and you'll be happy. The breakfast alone is worth it! Danielle, from Canada ~ 28th Sep 2009

The blanket is not so good in the backface. Hongmou, from China ~ 21st Sep 2009

Bed was remade every day and new towels delivered, shower and toilets very clean. The breakfast buffet was amazing! If you're looking for a cheap place to stay, I definitely recommend Absalon Annex, rooms are very secure, staff friendly, and in a great location. Tyrone, from Australia ~ 7th Sep 2009

the "red light district" is not dangerous at all, and the breakfasts are delicious! ERIKA, from Canada ~ 25th Aug 2009

The place is joined to a hotel and rooms are therefore very good and hotel like, although a bit 70's floral in places! The location is really close to the train station, which is good, but also right in the middle of the red light district which was fine but did feel a bit dodgy at some points. I have been at the Absalon last week. I am a teacher and went with other teacher and four students. We booked with hostels and get a very good price, and we were all upgraded to a room with bathroom for free. The location in fantastic, close to Tivoli and main train station. Breakfast was a buffet and the use of internet is free. Everything was very clean. By the way, go to Wagamama for lunch or dinner, it is at Tivoli but open to everybody from the street. My room was near by toilets and shower and that causes problems especially in night time between 2-4 when people came back in city. Jukka, from Finland ~ 26th May 2009

Absalon is a great, cheap place to stay right near Copenhagen's central station and the awesome Tivoli park in the middle of town. We booked a room in the "Annex" portion of the hotel, but since they weren't full, they upgraded us to the main hotel for free! The included breakfast in the morning is a good spread with plenty of options. The staff was friendly and very helpful. At night or very early morning, the area can be a bit seedy, but it's no major concern. We'd certainly recommend it John David, from USA ~ 18th May 2009
