felt a bit like a prison at first as we had a room with no window, but then we got moved to another room with a window which was much better. Location is great as it is very near metro station and Sugarloaf mountain. Angela, from England ~ 24th Oct 2009

I stayed in a dorm here for two weeks and didn't even lose a sock. There were always interesting people coming and going, but the dorm was nice and quiet at night. When you arrive in Rio alone, you already have friends when you stay at this hostel. The staff are very cool, and they always seem to know where the party is. Bruno especially is friendly and informative. The girls on the swing shift are very fun, too. Breakfast was good for me, because Americans love that fare for any meal. Nice staff, but just a really cramped space. Guest kitchen is a joke. Wifi is free but you have to pay for using the PCs? The four person dorm was ridiculously small. We had to put 2 people in one bed and the luggage on the fourth bed! Brett, from Canada ~ 30th Jul 2009

however people like complaining, I have nothing to complain about :) It is a very nice hostel to stay, and safe. Botafogo Bus and Underground station is like 2 minutes by foot. Easy to reach Copacabana and Ipanema or whatever you want. And at last but not at least the Staff is incredible friendly and helpful!! Muito obrigado!
