This hostel was everything we were looking for. Just on the border of the old and new town, you could walk to the new town for cheap beer and food, or to the old (expensive!) town for the sights, within minutes.
When we rung the hostel lost on our arrival at 10pm, a friendly man came and met us at the metro station and brought us back. He gave us maps, showed us where all the vital tourist spots were, and told us where we could get cheap, decent food (his advice was worth following!).
There is no curfew and we were asked how many keys we wanted. Although check out was supposed to be 9.30, we were told we could check out as late as 12pm.
There was no problem with paying - the deposit was already deducted as it should have been and he let us pay separately which was handy too.

Location was superb - equal distance to Old Town Square and Wenceslas Square (about 10 minutes). Unfortunately it was noisy at night because of the other inmates, but that's the chance you take.

I really recommend this hostel to budget travellers. It is not fancy, but it is ideally located, safe, and clean. The staff is very helpful.

We had so much fun at this hostel. The set up is good for meeting people because the rooms are centered around the common area. Not such a good set up if people are talking in the common room late at night and you want to sleep. I pitied the people who tried to sleep. Also, one room was accessed through the smoking room, which is not so convenient if you don't like smoke. Staff is really helpful and has great character, good beds, and a 5-minute walk from Wenceslas square. Super close to a big grocery store, lots of pubs and restaurants, and tram and metro stops. Loved it.

Probably the worst hostel I have stayed in. Not clean, not nice. Would not recommend. Its only saving grace as that is is a few minutes walk from the Prague Gates and the main train station
