Acme Guest House - Hostel

Is tucked way close by. The rooms are quite large, & there is an open lawn area, which is something of a rarity in crowded Thamel. Recommended by the Lonley Planet Acme Guest House: is widely recognized and one of the best middle...

The place is not very clean, everything in the room is old and dirty and it looks like there hasn't been any maintenance for years. Not a happy place to stay.

The location of the hostel is good and the staff are so helpful and nice. They pick up us at the airport without any charges.A good hostel to stay with reasonable price.

the place is basic, so you get what you paid for. the staff are nice. the room i got however, was very nosy due to barking dogs outside all nite long until about 3 am. but that's not there fault.

Nice location in the city, right in the tourist capital of Thamel and therefore close to all the ATM\'s, shops, bar and resataurants you need. Doesnt feel like it is in a really tousisty spot though as it is tucked away around a corner and has a bit of a garden out the front. I am coming back at the end of my trek around Nepal before i fly out.

I had US$600 stolen out of my room, so left pretty pissed off. Admittedly I hadn't locked my bag inside the locked room. But that shouldn't matter.

more of a hotel feeling than a hostel... which is the case anywhere I have been in Nepal and India. There was no common room, so meeting people that are staying in the same place as you becomes very difficult!

The location and the staff are excellent. The only negative point is fact that the isolation of the building is not done properly and we were quite cold over night.there is no electricity after a certain hour and no hot water but that happens in most of the guest houses in Kathmandu.. All in all, not a bad place to stay if you have a good sleeping bag...
