The building is in a good part of town near lots of small hotels and a large Holiday Inn complex. The place looks nice on the outside, but the inside could use a little paint/cleaning. The bathroom on the first floor is terrible -- there is not a functional shower door and everything you can imagine gets wet. The staff was the saving grace, in my opinion -- when I got there they didn't have a key to my room. I had to leave and come back for the key later. Even though it was a major hassle, the people there were friendly and sympathetic. I reserved the place in a pinch at the last minute, and I'd go there again in the same situation. I'd look elsewhere if I were planning a nice visit (possibly at one of the many hotels around -- there are many low cost rooms available if you book in advance).

The kitchen is very small and doesn´t have enough equipment, which makes it imposible to make dinner, two people at the same time. Other than this it was really nice, with cleane towels, and rooms.

First of all our plane was delayed and I called and spoke to the one on duty in reception. she assured it was not a problem at all, and that there would definitely be someone to let us into our room upon our arrival. This was not the case when we did arrive - no one was there. It was only because of some friendly fellow guests who let us stay with them in their room that we had a place to sleep that night. Not acceptable. Second of all there wasn't any hot water the four days we stayed there, which made showering VERY unpleasant and the beds were in constant danger of giving in. There were in such a poor state. I would NOT recommend this hostel to anyone at all. At the price we paid for it one can easily find something much better. It was a lousy stay in a lousy, lousy hotel. The staff was grumpy and highly unpleasant as well.

This is a hostel with a lot of potential. With some monor decprating and new blankets, this characterful building COULD be very good value for money. In a convenient location just minutes walk from the tube, communal areas were comfortable and nicely furnished. Staff were helpful and friendly. Despite every effort to clean the rooms, the aging carpets and dingy decor left a slightly musty feel about the place. Nothing that a facelift couldn't cure!

Guests weren't very friendly and majority were suprisingly very old or very young, as in children. Not recommended for youths nor young adults. Toilets had no soap. Location near the Tube station and supermarket was good though. BUT internet access is cut off at night, not 24 hours. It's outrageous that they lock you out of the common room.
