  • I only wish the shower provided more pressure. Everything else a plus :)

  • I'm not too happy with Adelaides as they ripped us off. After complaining we got $20 back but we ended up paying almost the double of what we thought we would since they changed the rate without informing. The breakfast was good, but doesn't match the description here. The sheets had stains on them and you only got one thin blanket even though it was quite cold inside. It wasn't possible to adjust the temprature in the showers, it was always burning hot. I recommend the free walking tour.

  • Coming to San Francisco every summer and fall and this was the best hostel I´ve ever stayed in in this city. It is definitely worth it to pay extra three dollars then in the cheapest hostels and get a nice and clean bed and possibility to use full equipped kitchen and all other facilities. And also can not forget amazing and rich breakfast which is included in the price! See you next summer Adelaide Hostel :)

  • I really enjoyed my stay! The staff are all very friendly (and so were the guests)! Really nice free breakfast! They have lots of scheduled activities, like walking tours, jazz bars and wine & cheese. A big plus is that they'll get you a reservation to and from SFO airport for $9 cheap! (That's less than what you'll pay for BART.) One suggestion: I'd like to see bottles of hair-and-body wash in every shower stall.

  • After booking a 5 BED room at the Adelaide hostel, we (a group of 5 guys) were transferred to the Dakota hotel down the road which is a partner of the Adelaide hostel where we were given a 4 BED room and told that we would have to pay extra for a mattress for the 5th person. Given that we were uncomfratable with sharing beds, we took turns sleeping on the floor. The Dakota hotel is disgusting and is not the accomodation that we selected/paid for after using hotels.com

  • The hostel is in very nice location, not far from the main street Powel I think. The room was nice and clean, a big plus was the sink in the room. There was plenty of showers/restrooms but the head of the shower was quite high (I'm only 5´2) and not pouring that well. But apart from that, the hostel has the best breakfast I've ever had in a hostel and the free Wild Wes walking tour was super great, since I didn't had any book guide. And he was really cool and full of interesting info.

  • excellent hostel, The only thing is that you must be aware of the shuttle to the airport. Be clear with the driver about the fare. The people in front desk offered the service for 9usd per person and when we arrive to the airport the fare was 31usd per person.

  • Rooms are very small and walls are thin. Safety issue - there was no information about the air conditioning and when trying to figure it out it became apparent that there was a heater in the room with curtains resting on it. Luckily we figured it out quickly before the very warm curtains became very hot! Managing the window fastening was fine for us but would be difficult for anyone under 170cm or who is disabled.

  • We took a double room, which was in another building just around the corner. The room was tiny (queen bed occupied all the space) , very old furniture and old sheets. Breakfast was very simple: bread or bagels with marmalade, fruit salad, no muffins.

  • This hostel has NO PARKING for vehicles, free or otherwise. This is false advertising. The most they will do is advise as to a location of a parking lot that you can pay to park overnight. The hostels wasn't as kept as it could be. The location was good, having lots of selections to eat, though a bit noisy at night. The rooms were small but not overly packed and there was a sink in the room.

  • The grades aren't directly for the Adelaide Hostel itself. We booked a 5 bed room private because it was the only one availlable in SFO in this short time, but after we arrived we were sent over to "Hotel Fitzgeralds". According to the breakfastroom it looked like there were many hostelguests in this hotel. So if you book Adelaide and are lucky that you are sent over to Hotel Fitzgerald -> thumbs up Not the typical "hostelatmosphere" but a nice place to stay.

  • This is a very good hostel with nice breakfast, events everyday, comparatively very safte place and easy access to transportation. I do hope there would be a scale available for the travellers, in case it might be necessary.

  • Great location, great people. All the hostels in San Francisco are crazy expensive and this was the cheapest, so I guess I'd say good value! Thanks Adelaide :)
