Very bad experience. The staff had a big problem to check my payment, and for that reason they bother me at 8 in the morning. They even took my bag away just to wake me up. It's far away from Holleywood/downtown(about 2 hour). Consider the time and money you waste on transportation.

Everything is great about this hostel, except for location. You can stay there when you just arrived in LA or leaving LA.

It was fantastic for the price! Staff was awesome, breakfast and dinner was wonderful, poolside tables, internet access was all great. The only thing you may want to keep more of an eye on is the bugs that get into the dorm windows. It was pretty disgusting waking up to that all over our stuff and clothing.

I was charged more money when I got then then was stated online. The staff in the office wasn't very nice or helpful. Make sure to bring your own blanket!

Staff want to sell their organized trips instead of giving information, and is not always friendly. Beds are not really clean. Location is far away from downtown, but close by the airport. But it's cheap and there's free champagne.

breakfasdt is a muffin and a cup of tea. expect to wait 30-45 min for pick up at the beach if using the shuttle, it is standard. The same shuttle has to pick up passengers at airport. Otherwise a good place to stay and the idea of the place is very good!

Cheap hostel - that is all the positve I can say about this hostel. It is too far from everything if you don't have a car. European standards are much higher than this even for the same price. We changed our hostel to the one in Santa Monica - much cleaner and you were able to get a locker for your stuff.
