  • Everybody who has visited this hostel knows the attitude of service of the staff is the worst ever, I knew is going to be an adventure but the ladies in the front desk doesn't have minimum of iniciative to give a standard service for any request you have as a customer, like one of the current issues is your card key, you have to go to the front desk almost every day of your stay to get the reactivation. Also they changed the price rate of my stay when you make the check in, the worst. Wiffi too

  • Warning for Americans/those without a foreign passport: hostels.com does not mention that you need a foreign passport to book the 15 bed room. I went there expecting to pay $15 for that room, only to be told that in order to get that room, I would need a non-American passport. They told me I still had to get the $27 room. All the other hostels in my budget were booked, so I had to take it. Basically, it felt like a bait-and-switch. It wasn't even a good place to stay, the area is iffy and far.

  • Cons - Ive never written any comment for the hostels I stayed but I'm writing this to let you know especially flaws of this hostel. 1. I still dont know why I paid more than $23 for 4 beds room. 2. You should change keycard each time you enter the room again. 3. Receptionist was not that kind Pros 1. The room I stayed was the most clean room I ever had during the trip. 2. Free shuttle to LAX was very excellent

  • I cannot begin to describe how horrible this place is. To begin with, it's in the middle of nowhere. Granted, it's relatively close to LAX, but it's located in Inglewood, a suburb of LA which is wonderful if you want to buy drugs, get mugged, or hire whores. The "staff" are utterly inept. They can sell you a shuttle to Disneyland, but ask them how to get to the Metro? They have no idea. Lastly, both times I have been there the LAPD are ever-present inside. My friends? DO NOT GO HERE!

  • Was upset the phone cards I bought from reception to call home didn't work and couldn't get a refund, also the internet didn't work, and again no refund. If you don't need to keep in touch the old fashioned way, then this place is brilliant. The shuttle bus and dorms were great. The plastic on the beds under the sheets is understandable but a bit noisy. The pool, free food and bar are fantastic value. A backpackers delight.

  • the staff is actually nice, but they don´t know how to run a hostel/hotel. we arrived very late at night and had to wait 20 minutes till we checked in. then we had problems with the room (we booked a 4 bedroom and they needed to check us into a 8 bed room) and till we solved those, another 30 minutes went by. the next day they lost our key to the rental car and as we checked out they wanted another two dollars because they had to check us into the 8 bed room. breakfast is just a muffin -.-

  • dirty everywhere, the 20-bed-dorm only had 1 toilet plus 2 showers. the door was open all day. almost no power supplies in that dorm to charge up the cell or laptop. breakfast is very poor... one freakin blueberry muffin!!! at least there was as much coffee and tea available as you wanted... the free hot dinner consists of nachos with dip and popcorn.... ridiculous! wifi sometimes worked, sometimes didnt...

  • reserved a bed in a dorm for 4 via this website. when I arrived they had only beds in rooms of 20 (!). they didn't care about my reservation. Parking is challenging if you care about not being blocked by someone (e.g. need to leave early in the morning). The stuff is a bit incompetent and mostly doesn't care. Yet, for 20 something bucks, i couldn't expect much more probably.

  • The Adventurer Hostel is a good choice, especially for those who will be at meetings near the airport or who may only be in L.A. one night. It is quite a ways from downtown Los Angeles, if you are planning to go there. The Adventurer Hostel offers many free amenities, including breakfast, wi-fi, popcorn, tea, free airport shuttle, etc. I would stay there again.

  • I had to share my dorm room with staff who work there. The so-called non-smoking room was a den for smoking. The place is noisy and car park is too small. When I wanted to drive out in the morning, a car parked in front of me would prevent me from going out.

  • Waited for the shuttle to and from airport, both ways, for a long time. I also couldn't lock my room. I was only there for a night in between flight transfers, so for the price it was ok. Felt a bit weird. Room smelled like cigarettes...
