We didn't get so good first impression about the hostel because staff didn't speak English at all and we didn't even know who was staff and who wasn't. Luckily some of the staff spoke English. Matresses were poor, but we could sleep on them. Staff was helpful and we enjoyed our stay. Location was excellent. It was only few hundred meters to the beach. I was little disappointed because surf board renting would have cost 400NTD + wet suit 200NTD (nearby surf board and wetsuit 380NTD). Read Owner Comments Niko, from Finland ~ 6th Apr 2012

Best hostel ever. I took the private room and I was just impressed! This is so cosy and nice. Of course totally clean as well. Location is directly next to the beach. I will definitely return to Afei!!! The ocean (where surfing and water activities are) was situated literally opposite of Afei! The hostel was surprisely very clean! What makes this hostel so awesome was the staff! They are VERY friendly (so are the 3 great dogs!). I also recommend taking surfing lesson with them! It was so much fun!
