This has been the 3rd time we have stayed here and it is always clean and the staff helpful and cooperative but limited by their English at times. Rooms are very small but the fact that cases can be put under the beds is the bonus. Very good value!

The shower was a hose attached to the wall between the toilet and the sink with no base. We had to refill the cistern of the toliet each time to make it flush. It looked dodgey walking into the hostel for the first time but turned out to be ok. Staff were nice and helpful. Hostel was clean but would not advise area for lone female travellers.

The hostel is in a 16 floors high old typical mongkong building and that certainly gives it character but also a feeling about the place as cheap. On the other hand, the rooms were cleaned once every day, we got a big bottle of water and towels for free... Also, the location is excellent in Kowloon, right between Mongkong East and Mongkong MTR-stations!

the building is old but when you're inside the room,..it's comfortable enough for a short visit in hk..the staff are accomodating..the rooms are small but very clean..very accesible...highly recommended..our next visit to hk,.we'l stay there again because their price is very reasonable

Good place to go and sleep for the night, we got a 2 bed room with a bathroom, well worth it for the money. location is nearby the mongkok mtr station and very accessible. only downside is finding the place the first time. the entrance to the building can only be found on the sides of the building, with attendants on each side

Had a really good stay at Ah Shan Hostel! Had been blessed with a big 3-person room though we booked only the 2-person room because they were fully booked for the 2-person. Though we had to move to a 2-person room on the third night, they gave us a spacious 2-person room on the 10th floor! We had ample space and we enjoyed the staff's friendly service!
