My mother always said, if you can't say something nice, don't say anything. I'm going to say alot of bad things right now, but, Here is the one nice thing I can say about Ahoy Hostel: I only had to kill one bug. This is the most sketchy hostel I have ever seen. I will never use hostels.com again to book a hostel, what are you thinking having this type of place in your listings? When you enter you check in at a pension style hotel, you start to think, oh-not so bad... then the guy sends you around the corner to your hostel. The front door is straight out of a detroit ghetto, covered in graffitti and peeling paint. The entryway is dominated by three overflowing jumbo trash cans. There are balloon condoms 'decorating' the walls. You can't find the light switch... so sketchy. Once you get your room open, the floor is disgusting particle board and a filthy gray mop is dripping in the corner by the bathroom. Now let's talk about the bathroom. It has been covered in blood red paint on 80% of it's surfaces... everything except the sink and toilet. That's right, the blood red paint is dripping down the sides of the tub your supposed to feel safe getting naked in. Then, there was no hot water for the first two days. One of the few perks, the nasty old refrigerator, wouldn't even turn on. Now the beds: the sheets are pilled up dingy white sheets. The pillow feels so lumpy it is like 10 hampsters curled up and died inside of it. The only reason we stayed is because we felt so intimidated by the hostel employee who checked us in. I mean is there a 'money back guarantee' in the Czech Republic? Besides ruining my faith in your booking service, this may have sworn me off hostels forever. I have stayed in hostels in 22 different countries over the last ten years and this may have been my last one. It is definitely the last one I will pay for upfront without seeing the living quarters. TAKE THESE PEOPLE OUT OF YOUR SYSTEM! SEND SOMEONE TO PRAGUE TO DO THE GROUNDWORK ON YOUR LISTINGS! ALL OF THE TRAVELERS WE MET HAD SIMILAR EXPERIENCES- THEY SHOW YOU NICE PIX AND THEN YOUR HOSTEL LOOKS NOTHING LIKE IT.

this place was a domp and the pics they put up ars not true at all!!!! there was no windo by the bath room and when u did get to it past an old prped up door there wasnt a seat on the tolit and the bathtub didnt have a shower certen the only thing that keeps the floor form caveing in in the groos linoleum in short it was the most discusting place i have ever stayed not to metion the creepyest Mack, form chicago

Spartan in every way yet the deal is unbeatable. It has no frills and certainly unswept floors, but it's completely tolerable and an excellent deal for people looking for a little privacy.
