This place was 40 minutes from the best part of own. It was extremely noisy and the whole place had a curious smell. It is worth paying more for somewhere more comfortable. Read Owner Comments Caroline, from England ~ 19th Sep 2009

It takes 4 Euro by taxi from railway station, very nice check-in, clean and recommendable. Not to easy to find if you reach Ljubljana late in the evening but otherwise a nice place to stay. And in day-time a good location Gro, from Norway ~ 18th Aug 2009

Even though we only stayed there for 1 night, first hand impression was very good. With a bar and a pooltable it seemed like a nice place to hang out with other travellers when youre not sightseeing. Staff was great, and ofcourse everything smelled extremely clean! Nielsine, from Denmark ~ 9th Aug 2009

Aladin hostel is pretty nice, the dorms are clean and comfortable, with towels, linens and high quality blankets. The common areas are all aircon'd and there is free wireless. The manager/owner is quite nice, he drove us downtown one night when he saw us walking in the street. This is the only real big downfall. The hostel is in this largely residential area outside of the center. You need to take a bus or taxi to get to and from town. It's good if you just want a quiet stay though. moe, from Canada ~ 7th Aug 2009

Get rid of those Dirty mats in the bathroom and the smell from the drains and install a fan in the Kitchen and when it says NO SMOKING make your visitors stick to the law, smoke came up the stairs from the common room all the time You need clean tea towels in the kitchen or you will have an outbreak of gastro yuk Read Owner Comments Trevor, from Australia ~ 30th Jun 2009

It's not too far from the city but it's definitely a wiser option to take the No. 25 bus when you have your bags with you coming out of the station. The staff are nice enough when they are actually there. A lot of the time there's nobody around to deal with you if you need anything in particular. Kitchen facilities are borderline adequate. Apart from that it's a good place to stay and I would definitely go there again. Good common room, 2 supermarkets, a bakery and a fresh fruit and veg shop Andrew, from Ireland ~ 20th Jun 2009

I stayed at Aladin Hostel for 3 nights,I had a good time there. The hostel is new, clean, staff are very nice and make things easier, is one of the best hostels I have ever hosted at. Is not in downtown but the taxi and bus are cheap and easy to get. I recommend Aladin Hostel. Mariana from Brazil Mariana, from Brazil ~ 4th May 2009
