Alba Hostel Glasgow in Reykjavik, Scotland

The rooms are unlocked, you get the key from the back door, which as well isn't always locked, and anyone can walk through it without passing the reception. The room desperately asked for vacuuming, and I don't think they have changed the sheets. The staff was helpful though.

Dear Alina, We are very sorry to hear that you were not satisfied with your stay at Alba Hostel. We strive to make it a comfortable stay for all guests. Cleanliness is very important to us therefore we are very disappointed to hear that the room was not adequately vacuumed. The sheets are changed after every guest and bedding is washed on a daily basis. Some sheets however have worn out from daily washes and may be the reason for not looking clean; nevertheless we will address your comments and strive to do better. This is a very clean hostel but it is located so far from the city centre that you must take a city bus to get to it.It's the only hostel I've visited that charges for tea and coffee but it's so well maintained I thought it was a hotel, not a hostel. Kelly, from USA ~ 30th May 2011
