This is an OK place. Its in the middle of other which is good but also makes it loud. A little dirty with slightly moldy, thin matresses. The staff was fine. Basic hostel and cheap. Its fine for what you pay it you want to pay more than youll obviously get more

I really enjoyed my time there! The staff are very nice and helpful and the hostel is always filled with warm and friendly people. Breakfast is good although it doesn't offer much variety. I would stay there again in a heart beat because I was treated like family and always felt very welcomed.

a very nice cheap hostel with great decoration, a porblem with bed bugs is my only complaint as the showers are clean and reliable and the breakfast is good. The staff are friendly altho only one speaks english so sometimes it can be a bit of a struggle, but the location is excellent.

Good Breakfast! Lots of fruits and good juices. It was ok because we were not many people in the hostel at that time, if full, I can not imagine how people manage to get a shower or to have breakfast in the rush hour, Because there are just two showers and not many room in the common place for Breakfast.
Estuvimos un total de 5 noches. En un cominezo lo encontré caótico (en realidad el llegar a Salvador y sobre todo al pelourinho por primera vez es un poco caótico), pero luego me gustó el ambiente, el lugar, la vista de la habitación y sobre todo el desayuno: Delicioso. Está muy bien ubicado, es seguro, hay lockers, etc. Mis únicas sugerencias serían: - No poner casilleros tan altos, o bien poner algún piso para poder acceder a los más altos. - Más baños: sólo 2 sanitarios para mujeres me parece muy poco. - Asear un poco más los dormitorios. Los espacios comunes por lo general estaban limpios, pero faltaba aseo en los dormitorios: No basta con vaciar los papeleros. De todos modos, recomendable totalmente para mochileros, pero no para parejas que buscan descanso tipo Honey moon (luna de miel): No hay dormitorios privados

Me gusto bastante la hostal, la ubicación es excelente y lagente con la que se comparte tambien, en un principio dude de la seguridad que tenia pero no hubo problemas. La experiencia fue muy buena. Si volviera a Salvador iría nuevamente allí.
Right in the middle of the historic town in a pedestrian zone and very safe. Although if you want to sleep early, try to get a room towards the street as there are often concerts in the backyard - which is otherwise quite nice. Staff is really helpful, nice and well informed.

we had a good time coz it was carnaval and we met some awesome people but im not sure the hostel its self was the fun part more the vodka that did it..its in a good place though and security is good but the hostel is not that clean and you have to pay to use the kitchen. the laundry room wasnt in use when we were there although they were still advertising it was. everyone we spoke to was less than pleased with the hostel with everyone complaining about different aspects of it. the showers also gave you an electric shock when you tried to turn the water on or the temperature down. the owner is pretty rude and when asked by a girl for a fan in their 24 person room he just told her to deal with it coz it was salvador and the summer..completely unhelpful..other than the location - although not that close to the beach if thats what youre looking for - i wouldnt recommend it to anyone.
Spent Carnaval here and had the time of my life. Location can´t be beaten, staff and hostel in general well organised. Good fun, awesome people. Would recommend to anyone for Carnaval next year.
The location is very good and safe. The stuff is really nice, but this pace is really very narrow, rooms are so small and very view places to hang around. Breakfast was quite Ok, (cheese was missing) but all together, Salvador makes it all equal. :)) if you are a girl take care of shopping.
