IMPORTANT: They charge 7 euros extra PER NIGHT if you are over the age of 25! You won't know this until you book. If you fall into this category it could mean that staying at a cheap hotel is a better bet. Also found it difficult to meet people even though the hostel was full. No one showed up for the free bar crawl on Friday night so they canceled it. The toilet in my room also did not have a working soap dispenser. Overall, very unsatisfied with my stay. Would recommend against staying here. Scott, from USA ~ 18th Oct 2011

If you stay at the Hostel only to hear Garmon (sp) play his guitar before taking you out on the city for tapas and drinks then it is well worth the stay. But the hostel itself is amazing, so supper clean and well kept. Would highly recommend this to anyone looking for a top notch place to crash, chill and gain awesome knowledge of the local life. And take the tour with "Henry" she is a wealth of knowledge but bring some damn water as it's get WARM walking the streets of Madrid at noon. The place is really neat and new. No worries about security and the facilities are great. Very well located. Many cheap and delicious food options around. Supermarket and metro are 2 blocks away. Every night there's a "club tour" with a great guide who knows everybody and everywhere. We get the best places, for the best price. VIP treatment. The staff is very helpful and they all speak english. Breakfast could be better. But in Madri you'll eat so well it won't make a big difference. Stay here Luiz Antonio, from Brazil ~ 21st Jul 2011

It´s a nice hostel but there isn´t much around it. If you can find something closer to the train station downtown, you won´t have to deal with getting back at the end of the night. Jacqueline, from USA ~ 10th Jul 2011

This hostel is near a great area, but not close to many other hostels, hence solo travelers have difficulty meeting others. Also, there's no real common room to meet other travelers.Staff is excellent, but when I was there, seemed like most travelers were older and hence no organized night activities were done. The beds and bathrooms are good. But it was very quiet when I was there. The only people who where there was a schoolclass with 13 year old people. The facilities are good but the hostel has not the backpackers atmosphere you see in other hostels. Danny, from NLD ~ 12th Jun 2011

I've stayed at a lot of hostels in a lot of countries. This one ranks easily among the best 2 or 3 I've ever seen. The staff was extraordinarily kind, and interested in the people passing through their doors. The rooms were immaculately clean- I even walked barefoot in the bathroom here. If you've traveled much, you know how significant that is.Internet was speedy, and I found it equally easy to socialize with other travelers as to find a quiet place to read and write.10/10. Clean hostel in a great location. however, only fun for people in college or younger. I like to party and have fun, but I definitely felt old in the crowd and I'm only 28. Jennifer, from Canada ~ 22nd Apr 2011
