if you´re gonna do a tour (which i highly recommend), the room is free! (so no reason to spend the hostelworld deposit...) apart from that, very clean, great breakfast, cool swimming pool,great location opposite bus station, recommended

This hostel didn´t seem to have much personality to it, but it was an easy stop-over before going on a Pantanal tour (which was well organised by the hostel)and the staff were very helpful and friendly. Breakfast was really good!

Nice stay, very central and very fair staff. (couldnt pick me up at the airport but paid back the costs of the taxi. Good businessmen.
In great location across the road from the bus station so you can just roll straight into bed. Staff were extremely helpful and although the hostel itself is a little old, it serves its purpose. Breakfast is good as well. If you book your Pantanal trip through the hostel we recommend spending the extra money and not camping- you will thank yourself. Another tip is to take some snacks for morning and afternoon tea. Our tour was great and we loved our tour guide.

It does everything it says it does but you feel like it´s all the bare minimum just to get the descriptions on hostelworld ticked, the kitchen had no pans or plates at, the tvs had one channel at one volume that you could not change, the double room was tiny with broken slats on the bed. Also if you stay for your free night after doing a pantanel tour you no longer qualify for free internet at the hostel! One chap was very helpful with us at reception but others had a surly arrogance that was not pleasant, especially breakfast staff, who seemed to begrudge their job. Pool was nice though, and very close to the bus station (close enough to be kept up all night by noise too).
It was a nice hostel, situated close to the bus station so very convenient once you arrived in Campe Grande. We did a 3 day trip with the tour company Ecological Expeditions that are associated with the hostel, and overall it was very good, providing a range of activities as advertised. However, our guide was particularly unhelpful, unenthusiastic and obviously bored with his job. The accommodation and food at the resort in the pantanal was what we had expected, basic but sufficient and the activities were varied but could have been longer. (For example the horse riding was only for 2 hours and was finished by 9.30am). If we had had a more interested guide who was willing to tell us more about the surrounding enviroment and who was interested in us then everyone in the group would have had a better time in the pantanal. As it was noone was willing to either recommend the company or tip the guide which was a shame.

The room was tiny and not particularly nice. The staff were friendly and very helpful. It was right opposite the bus station but there was nothing else around the hostel. OK for a brief stopover.
