Our bedroom smelt like urine and had no fan or air-conditioning.Showers could turn scaldy on you in a second.In the middle of nowhere really and not near any of the good beaches.

Very far from the main part of Florianópolis, but I liked that, because I wanted to relax for a few days. Incredibly close to a very nice beach. The only problem is the distance to an ATM, which is near the bus terminal (~45min away by bus).

Location: an hour from the centre of floripa, but 5 minutes from a lovely beach! Wish we could have stayed longer!

Some beautiful beaches in this area and it is great if you like to be awya from the crowds. We really enjoyes it here, but it does take about an hour from downtown.

I was going to stop off for a couple of days on my way north through Brazil, but I may not leave for quite a while. The staff knows what they are doing, and the guests are nice and laid back. This is a place for those of us who want to travel cheaply, have a good time, and not make a lot of noise and disturb the other guests. It is quiet, close to the beach, and in a safe community.

Actually, I liked the hostel. Staff was very nice and the bar in front of the hostel made up for the fact, that it is a little bit outside of the happenings of Floripa. We were three, where two of us shared a double room and I were sleeping in a 6-bed-dorm. Unfortunately, I was lagging of sleep afterwards, because the bar was a little bit noisy.The other two had nice room, but the problem with an undefined smell over there, which they couldn't bear. No problems with security. There are lockers, where you can lock your stuff away. Overall, nice hostel, good for enjoying the very nice beaches in the southern part of the island.
