  • Very good hostel, central, nice friendly atmosphere and good kitchen. Perfect for travelers, easy to find friends. The staff was also very helpful and partaking in what we did, but could been better in integrating the english-speaking visitors (most of the visitors are french). I really liked that the staff was one of us, but some limits it shouldn't be necessary that the owner him self came and told us. When the staff joined us having fun, you should think what we did was cool. But a good stay!

  • Definitely the best place to stay in Montreal. I was supposed to stay one week then rent an appartment. In the end i stayed one month and i am still there. The staff is friendly and helpful. Activities are organized regularly by the staff to make travelers get to know each other. So very good atmosphere, looks like a big family.

  • We had a great time at the hostel! Met some fun people, and found the staff very helpful and friendly. Particularly a girl that was working, I think her name was Nina. The private room was small but it was nice to have a shared living room and kitchen with only one other room, would be very fun to return with another couple.

  • The Staff was very nice, but the rooms are old, dirty and cold. The hostel is near from de Village, but in the zone are some homeless who are not dangerous. The atmosphere is too friendly.

  • Had the most wonderful time at the Alexandrie! Can't say enough good about everything. The location is superb... just 4 blocks from the Berri-UQAM metro station. The staff are so helpful.. ask them anything. They gave us information about amigoexpress, a carpooling web site that made it so affordable and easy to get to Quebec City and back. The only warning is that you will want to stay longer than planned! Enjoy!

  • Highly recommended.Alexandria, is a labyrinthine place full of good surprises. The place has the "savoir faire" and "joie de vivre" français and it is excellent located. All staff is very nice and they take care of all details. Montréal is a great city, a jewel within the Anglo northern hemisphere. I am making plans to come back as soon as I can.
