  • Very cozy hostel in the Heart of Alfama (That means some stairs to go up to reach it!). Friendly, helpfull Staff around the clock. As it is a member of a Group of three Hostels (The other ones are much bigger) there is a programme everyday (free walking tour, bbq, portoguese buffet, pub crawl, beach tour). Really enjoyed my stay.

  • Great hostel - especially for free spirited and if you are traveling alone. Super active staff creates great 'communal' atmosphere and has at least one organized event every day if one wants to participate. We had twin room with french balcony. Great views to Tejo river (from common too). Alfama is part of a town to see in its own right but city center is within walking distance too. Tram 28 goes by the door. At winter room is quite cold but heater there saved the day (night). Recommended.

  • Great people, great place, if you are a sensitive sleeper ask for more quiet room. Tram line and traffic goes around corner. No trams at night but taxis use the same road. Unfortunately too many americans have found this excellent hostel (little minus on atmosphere part).

  • This was an excellent hostel to stay at. Full of character and charm, the free breakfast is excellent, the rooms are clean and orderly, plenty of hostel-sponsored activities and socials to attend, and helpful staff. Only con during our visit was the hostel is a bit of a walk from many of the attractions we were interested in, but nothing too limiting. I'd definitely stay here again the next time i'm in Lisbon.

  • When I booked the hostel, I was under the impression that it was in the center of the city (next to the praça do comercio). I was very wrong. It was a 15 minute walk away from the center and not near a metro stop. As someone who gets lost extremely easily, it wasn't a very good place to stay as I often spend 30-40 minutes wondering around until I found it. But the atmosphere of the hostel and the staff were extremely friendly and made my stay in Lisbon awesome!

  • tough to find without a smartphone that has gps, but cute location. short walk to many of the main sites. great patio and balcony areas for hanging out. single rooms have a safe, very convenient! if you're a light-ish sleeper, bring ear plugs since the rooms/bathrooms are close together and noise travels easily between them.

  • lovely hostel at the top of Lisbon! they offered a superb breakfast, with eggs, orange juice, milk, and pancakes, staff was also very helpful. the only problem: I booked a single private room and this was located on the top floor. If you have much luggage, please consider that the stairs are very narrow to get to the last floor of this hostel. other than that, a great experience.

  • The location of the hostel is in the historic section of Lisbon - Alfama. The surroundig is sooooo beautiful with little cute alleys and we had right in front of the hostel a direct connection to the little nostalgic, yellow tram. The hostel is like a little green oasis with hammocks and a beautiful terrace with direct view to the Tejo river. The room (and bathroom) are cleaned well and have different cool styles. In the lounge/reception they have cool old-school furniture. The staff was very very fr
