Good clean Hostel, Suzanne (the owner) was very helpful to us. We had a very pleasant stay and we would recommend Alice's Secret to anyone in Alice Springs.

van absolute winner. There will always be a market for small, family-like hostels like this. The hostel has been neglected for a long time, but the new owner is renovating like crazy. Very tastefully done! Cheers Suzanne! I will never forget your hostel.

definitively the best hostel we stayed ever in Australia - Staff very friendly and guests as well - very clean swimming pool and two lovely dogs.

I had nice time staying at Alices Secret. It was easy to make friends with other guests. Loved the pool, great to have a swim when staying in desert area. Friendly and helpful staff! A special thanks to Susan for organising my tour to visit Uluru/Kata Tjuta/Kings Canyon with "The Rock Tour". It was an experience I will always cherish. I had the best time!!

The first morning, there was no milk for the complementary breakfast. And it was mentionned in the site that the cereal are to enjoin all day....not true. The front desk is closed during the day....she knew my arrival time and did not mentionned anything...has to wait for hours....

The room might have been clean, but the whole place would need to be renovated to feel clean. Would not recommend this hostel if you are looking for a clean, modern hostel.

Alice Springs is an oasis in the desert and Alice's Secret is an oasis within the town. Perfect retreat following a 10 day outback trip. I had one of the Garden Rooms which overlooked a secluded courtyard and pool. Not a party hostel so exactly what I wanted. Suzanne was great and really looks after everyone.

This is my favorite hostel in Australia up till now. It is like a family. Suzanne speaks Japanese! There were musicians and a barbeque party one day, great! The pool is so nice and cool! The garden so beautiful.

Could not see any indication of the supposed friendliness and charactermentioned by other reviewers. The premises are dilapadated and run down rather than cosy. Reception was closed for a 'siesta' each day which was nuisance. In short, would not recommend

The rooms were clean and comfortable with large TV in each room and air con but the garden area was very shabby and the pool was small and you could not swim in it as it was being 'chemically' treated! I just felt it needed a little money spending on it in the garden and lounge area to make it a bit nicer to spend more time in. It was not as nice as I had hoped it would be but was fine for just one night stay if you just want to sleep.
