I really enjoyed my time while I stayed at Alice Hostel. Although the exterior of the building was not mordern, the inside of the hostel was very clean and cozy. Moreover, the worker was so kind and friendly. Hyun-Young, from South Korea ~ 4th Oct 2009

Rudi was amazingly friendly and helpful. The hostel is very homely, and is close to the train station but otherwise not in a good location. As a single female traveller I didn't feel safe returning in the dark. Security is very poor. There are no lockers and no locks on the doors, apart from the private room, not even on the toilet and shower. The owner is very friendly. Even email me before I arrived. We had a very nice stay. The hostel is on 2nd floor (1st in Europe). The hostel is very clean, even though the stair leading to it is not. The hostel is very near to the trainstation which made our arrival quite pleasant. The staff was VERY kind and helpful and the atmosphere was nice. They gave me a map, helped me with directions, and when I needed to find an electronics store, I had it googled and explained where the closest one was. A very nice and friendly hostel in a cozy apartment where you feel like a guest in a family. The staff is very helpful and we very much enjoyed staying there! Nice beds, nice bathrooms and very clean. It is a little distant from the centre of the city, but the metro station is just 1 min walk from the hostel. The best recommandations from here. Wonderful place to stay! Excellent location, very lovely, tidy, comfortable, family atmosphere. But above all, I was astonished by kindness of hostel staff. When I came to the hostel, Rudi (the guy who take care about the hostel) helped me with everything. He gave me the map of Budapest and every direction I asked for, he went with me to the nearest exchange office, showed me the metro station and suggests me the store with less- expensive souvenirs.
