  • We really enjoyed our stay in the American Dream Hostel in NY. Although our room was quite small, it was really clean like the bathrooms were too. The breakfast was great, bagels, toast, fresh waffles, fruits, cereals and more were offered. Staff was really nice and it is easy to get to know people there. When I was looking for a hostel in NY, it was the cheapest with a good rating, but I didn't expect much. After having stayed there I can say that I would always book it again when coming to NY.

  • We were happy with this hostel (compared to other New York hostels we have experience), great staff and location, couldn´t get better. There was also breakfast included and good wifi -connection. Would definitely go again and recommend to everyone.

  • Very happy with our stay here.... convenient location, small and friendly and helpful staff. Only issue is that there isn't an elevator, so this could be an issue for some. Certainly would recommend this place to others.

  • There was only one womens bathroom per floor and it was filthy. You had to muddle through one inch of dirty water to get to the toilet. The room was no better, clean but so outdated with missing floor, tiles rusted towel bars and the worst paint job ever. I am not sure why the city of New York has not shut them down.

  • Excellent location! Close to main subway stations. One particular receptionist was incredibly helpful and lovely. Cleaner took our bags up and down the stairs. Very cute place, homely feel. Clean, tidy and good value for money. One shower + toilet and a single toilet per floor with one basin - just for anyone reading who might like to know the set up. Would definitely stay again if I come back to NY!

  • Breakfast is extremely crowded. There is only one table for whole hostel. Shared bathrooms are one bathroom and one shower for whole floor (though always clean). Other than hostel is very quiet and location is great.
