there was a rat in the room, the shower was dirty, filled up with water and leaked. in the middle of the biggest tourist area in the city. the guy who let us in was very nice, but i don't think the hostel was worth the high price
would definitely recommend! my favorite hostel on my trip

This was my 2nd stay @ cribs...we stayed in the x 4pax apartment at the top. Stayed for three days and got completely mashed...rooms were spacious, comfortable, and we had the time of our lives! If you're a smoker, want a central location in the Dam without sharing in a grubby hostel, this is the place for you. I can't recommend it enough!

This is a great choice in Amsterdam. The apartment was great (2 levels, 2 full bathrooms, couches, tv, and ps2), especially nice to take a break from the crowded streets in a nice apartment. Eric and Mark were really good about making sure everything was set and that we knew what to do in Amsterdam. Definitely a top choice.

Well, we've found a little mouse up in our room. I guess this says is all. I believe some extra measures will assure a clean environment as it should be since a room can go up to 100 euro/night. Cheers from Romania! :-)
Great place. Staff is very helpful the location is perfect. Apartment was uber-clean and exactly what we needed and then some.
