This is a beautiful hostel with a magical vibe and a really good atmosphere, helped alot by having such kind and wonderful hosts. we arrived intending to stay for 2 or 3 nights, but we stayed for 5 or six days, and in that time the only time my baby daughter cried was when we were leaving, and it would have been very easy not to leave..! i'd definately reccommend it. xx

I felt in love with the Animal Farm after 5 minutes there! It is the perfect place to relax. If you stop and listen you can only hear nature, birds, silence! No cars, no noise! I will come back as soon as possible.

A relaxing fun place to enjoy the Dutch countryside. It was like spending a weekend at a friends house. The staff and Theo, the owner are friendly, helpful and welcoming. Theo is an excellent cook. The house is clean and brightly decorated with artifacts from Africa, India and Nepal. There is only one toilet and one shower but it was never a problem during our weekend stay. Very special hostel. In the country, fresh air, animals. Recommend for weekend break from big city backpacking or a great escape into the european country. Easy stop between Amsterdam and the Deutcsh Rhineland.
Bring swim trunks in the summer and be ready to bike around, bikes are free to hire. Riverside biking is a must, and a beer at one of the many small pubs.
