Cool part of town, not far from all the sights and whatnot. Friendly staff. I would happily stay there again.

The description of the bedroom was wrong. Where it says "4 bed private room" you should read "2 double beds".

The owner is a very friendly guy and I'm very happy with what I got. I was visiting Montreal for business pourpose and I was looking for a place to stay that could offer me a bed and silence at night. I really had it all in a very good rate. Thank you Ives.

Keep an eye out for the asian fairy, and the manifesto, and the other housemates (if they exist). Good place for sleep, and storage. Definitely NOT a party hostel. 3 min walk from metro, nearby grocery store and $15 cab ride from downtown.

There were lots of odd rules posted EVERYWHERE. Do not use more than 3 toilet paper squares. Only wash your face with a wash cloth. Getting the floor wet will cost you $2000. Spilling a drink on the bed will cost you $1000 to replace bed. The lights of my private room were a few metres outside the room. The location was superb. Very close to subway and grocery store. No towels were given. The "hostel" is not heated throughout. The rules are a plenty, but one great one was not to make noise. It was NEVER noisy.

This "eco-friendly" place may put ppl off: not receiving fresh towels etc - our "private" room was rather strange as it had 3 other beds in it which made it very cramped indeed. Some of the dorms have NO privacy, they are on either side of the kitchen with NO partition, one cubby hole has a kind of curtain, the other has nothing so you're likely to be woken if guests return late and need the kitchen. However, this place was clean and very good value for money in a great location - not for parties or rampant lovers!

In my time there was one Chinese woman cooked a "special" dishes and the whole place smells very bad. Security is very poor, because everyone can come in your room. It` s only smaal lockage on the top of the door. And the neighbourhood doesn` t give you secure felling. I don´t recommend this hostel....it` s better to take one downtown. Igor
