the beds are too small!!!!!!! I slept very bad for both nights --> when you are 1.91 m tall and the bed is 1.90 m.... I booked a 16 bed dormitory and in fact it was 24 beds!!! to be honest, this is close to a fraud!!! it was definitely ONE ROOM and you could hear everything from the first "part" of the room (despite ear plugs)! the door closes very loudly (metal on metal --> noise!!!): the poor guy who slept close to the entrance door, rather had any sleep during the night Mathias, from Austria ~ 10th Nov 2009

The only downside on cleanliness was that there was a mouse in the dining room. However, when this was pointed out to the staff, they appear to have taken immediate action (having been unaware of the mouse before). Read Owner Comments Joel, from Canada ~ 4th Oct 2009

great place to stay for a quick trip to Philadelphia! It's in the historic district near lots of awesome restaurants, historic landmarks, bars, South Street you name it it's there or near by. I didn't spend that much time in the hostel but i'm sure if I did I would've met a lot of cool folks from the states and internationally as well. Mary, from USA ~ 22nd Sep 2009

Despite the fact it was 24 people (male dorm) instead of 16, I've enjoyed the stay. Free breakfast and beer. Cheap events/tours. Nice and big kitchen and funny staff. Unfortunately it smelled owfully in the room but I recommend this hostel anyway. Michal, from Poland ~ 13th Sep 2009
