this hostel was not good! the ``lockers`` were the size of a kids shoe box and you had to have your own lock, the sheets were dirty, with raggy blankets. There was loud music at night coming from the bar, even one night at 3 in the morning. The breakfest looked gross and i was not about to eat it due to the low sanatation of the rest of the hostel. the only good thing about this one was the location, but there are soo many hotels around here i would not stay at this one.

Attracts rude guests. I returned home from dinner one evening (around 10.45 pm) to find I had been locked out with no warning of such a curfew. As this place is surrounded by water and the main building far away from the gate, i had to climb a very high fence in the pouring rain to gain access. This was only one of a number of unfortunate incidents during my stay here. If I were to return to Ilha Grande I would definitately stay elswhere.

The hostel is beautiful and breakfast are great but rooms are very small and humid. Showers have not very good face, you should work on that. Saludos!
Make sure you are ready for the walk along the beach but once there it is perfect!

We were reccommended this hostel, the place USED TO BE great, but now the owner is never there and the place is falling apart. It's in charge of the cleaning lady who does everything without having a hint on how to run a hostel. They need at least 3 more employees.Hundreds of coakroaches all over the place! Imagine the kitchen, extremely dirty. The premises need lots of maintenance. And it's no fun with the energy of this lady in charge who's complaining all day. No good for a holiday in this beautiful place.
The location and the facilities of the hostel were fantastic, but the staffa really didn´t care much about helping in any extra way, and the atmosphere of the place was really dull. May be better for couples though.

You can´t really beat the view, however the hostel is a bit of treck down the beach. Major complaint was lack of adequate lighting between bar and rooms and loose wiring in one of the rooms(8)which shocked us twice. That said the staff tried and were friendly enough plus it has good links with the che lagarto next door.
