Go to Smuggler's down the road instead. Better food, more people, cleaner, bigger... etc etc etc

I think my biggest problem with this hostel is that it is located near Nadi which I would avoid at all costs. Aquarius was ok....didn't like the fact that they had no self catering facilities, so you pretty much had to eat off their menu every night. The staff seemed somewhat rude at first, but then warmed up eventually. This is an ok place to stay when you first arrive in Nadi, but get out to the islands as soon as is humanly possibly because they are the real Fiji.

good location for visiting the islands, right on the beach, really friendly and helpful staff, smaller rooms and dorms lovely, large dorm a bit dirty and cramped with cold showers.

The Aquarius had dingy rooms and a pool that was dirty and under repair (with an explanation, but with the ocean not very nice to swim in, the days were VERY hot). Right next door was the Smuggler's Cove with hot, strong showers, bunks privatized by walls enclosing each group of 4, and a beautiful swimming pool and restaurant. I would rather have stayed there in a heartbeat. As well, I was charged a fee to change rooms my last night there even though I was paying more to be in that room. The internet was $2 for the first 10 minutes, while next door at Smuggler's Cove it was $3 an hour. Overall, I was very disappointed with this hostel.

Spendy and out of the way but a lot nicer than many places in Fiji. I think if the rain had let up it would have had a better atmosphere.

Aquarius fiji is lovely! Its a good spot for a couple of chilled out nights before you hit the islands! Its more like a resort than a hostel, however there are constantly backpackers going through! Great place-would recommend it for a couple of nights rather than your entire time in fiji-but don't go anywhere in the mainland-the islands are the places to be-cheap and beautiful and full of traveller fun!

This is a good hostel to stay in for an over night stop before going on to the Islands or leaving for the airport.
