This is a great place to stay. the staff are very nice and helpful. the kitchen is great and there is free internet. its clean. the guy who owns it is a great person. I totally recomend this place to all visiting Alaska. kerrie, from England ~ 1st Aug 2009

It's not a hostel but a hotel. really clean, shiny and luxury kitchen, spacious room. And also very quiet. The only demerit is its loation. It is a little far from the downtown. Kyung Hwa, from South Korea ~ 25th Jul 2009

Nice to have so large a kitchen to work in. Refridge and T.V. in room was a nice bonus. Also having bikes to rent at reasonable charge for all day was great. Would stay here again on a return trip. Merl, from USA ~ 21st Jul 2009

We did not get to stay at the hostel in Ancorage. Our flight out of Denver was delayed and due to that and the fact that we had to catch the train early in the AM, I called them and cancelled the reservation. When questioning him about charging my cc anyway the gentleman was rude and curt. I thanked him for his attitude and hung up. This place is a regular hostel, like many others. However, be aware: if you run into any kind of problem or dispute with the owner, you will be badly treated and invited to leave... Nuno, from Portugal ~ 5th May 2009
