We had to go through the kitchen to get to a bathroom. Also the toilets and showers were not seperate, so if one was being used, you had to queue. Sad day. Also the directions to the hostel from the station, if you've never been to Edinburgh, are horrible, we spent about a 1/2 hour trying to figure it out and then finally had to walk back to the train station and get a taxi. There was not even a sink in our room.

It was an alright backpackershotel, but both kitchens were filthy, smelly. The room was OK, beds were OK. But the smell in both the kitchen made me feel like I am staying at a studentflat all over again. Also didn't like very much all the notes through the place to be considerend to the staff, not to bother them after 10pm unless its very important etc.

Staff is kind and the equipment is nice, the
cold water problem is solved, though inside
the toilet, the cold water side is weak.
Very few busses come to this district, but
its still pretty convenient because there are
several drugstores near by.

Great place...even though its not right in the city it is so easy to get there by the bus stop which is right at the door. There was a great social aspect to it. We loved it and would come stay here again.
