  • Good situation, 15 minutes walking from The Royal Mile. There are a good supermarket and bars near the hostel

  • The environment is very cozy and comfortable. It takes about 15 minutes to get to the Royal Mile, just cross through a very wonderfel grassland. On the way to Royal Mile, you can have a breakfast at the famous Elephant House. Highly recommmend!

  • Very nice hostel, like a big house really, very good atmosphere. Some staff were not very interested in helping us at check in time, didn't really have a locked place to store luggage, but did keep it in a back hall. Nice hang out room with couches, but they closed it at 10. Was about a mile or so walk to the main part of town. Nice bathrooms, had a few cold showers though.

  • It's close to the city centre, a 5 minute walk. The place is clean and comfortable. Great kitchen and the bathrooms are everywhere, never had to wait to take a shower. The staff is not the most friendly I've ever seen... but it's ok.

  • Hi all! I'm from Russia, so when I was in Edinburgh, I stayed in this Hostel. The atmosphere is really nice and cosy like at home :) Staff also very lovely and I feel myself v comfotable here. I definitely recommend this hostel for visitors of Edinburgh.

  • Very clean, quiet, with lots of character and a good location. Not right in central Edinburgh, but only a 5-10 min walk from there. Two grocery stores very close and the hostel has a great shared kitchen. My main complaint is the bunk beds are pretty flimsy. Any movement on one bed is amplified and sent to the other! For some people this could really affect sleep.

Practically, Barcelona is a pretty easy city to navigate on foot or by public transport with a well laid-out grid system for the streets and a simple metro system. Here's an example of what you can do with 24 hours and a T10 (10 journey) metro ticket.
