It was annoying to have the bathroom from the next room almost in my room. (room 304 and 303). Just a locked door made the separation and it was loudly and ill-at-ease.

Good points - the hostel is very close to a bus route into the city and some nice pubs. Bad points - the staff aren't the friendliest, the showers don't have a space for changing, my room was very basic with only one small light and no TV. I thought it was quite overpriced compared to other places I've stayed and wouldn't really reccommend it.

I like this hostel. If I visit Chicago again, I will definitely choose it again.
Very shabby looking but very clean. Staff was friendly and very eager to help. Good atmosphere but had to pay for two beds because all they had left were private rooms. Worth it for the quiet but the rooms were tiny and antique looking. A bit far out of downtown but a friendly and safe neighborhood.
We really enjoyed being in this hostel. It is perfectly located near lincoln park and shops as well as an easy place to get into town from. It was fantastically clean and very efficient. The kitchen was great too! Thanks for the great introduction to Chicago!

I enjoyed the stay overall...it is a really good deal for the $. The staff were kind and helpful and patient...the only problem I had (the bathrooms were clean and the showers as well! that's important) was that there was a smoker in the room before I used it so for the wknd that I stayed, I had a severe headache from the smell and had to open the window despite the cold weather. Please tell visitors not to smoke in the rooms or that they have to pay a fine, etc. It just ruined the whole stay for me despite all of the other good sides to the stay. Thank you...

Hot showers - great Location - Excellent Rooms - a bit old and tired looking Female toilet and shower too far away from our room and the toilet doors didnt lock. (Please disregard my last review as i mixed you up with another hostel i stayed and am very sorry)
