I was pretty disappointed in this place. First, they don't have wifi like they say. Second, we had to share a key with our roommate who never used sheets or the pillowcase and took our covers and left her dirty socks on our beds. We never had a way to get into our room so we had to leave it unlocked. It wasn't close to the center, but the walk was nice quite honestly. It is closed from until 4pm, which is when check-in is. The staff didn't seem like they knew much going on. The bathrooms were ti

Brugge is a tourists' paradise without the tourist crowds. Even though Arthostel is located on the outskirts of the town, it only takes 20 min to get from one side of the town to the other by foot. The town center is a pleasant 10-15 min walk from the hostel. If walking is not for you, Brugge has a robust public transportation system; the buses run frequently and will drop you off pretty much wherever you want to go in Brugge. We had a private room with shared bathrooms at the hostel. Both the

This was one of the nicest hostels we stayed at in Europe. Very quiet at night and not much going on socially but the rooms very nice with clean bathrooms. It is also only about a ten minute walk to the city centre even though it appears to be farther away.

positives: The hostel is very clean and tidy, and has free internet. even though is on outskirts of bruges, it is a very pleasant walk in along the canal.
negatives: NO COMMUNAL SPACE - would be rubbish for a single traveller. no atmosphere at all, staff seem to do the bare minimum. we were not offered breakfast during our 3 night stay, although I think others were (not included in price)

The cleanest hostel I've ever stayed. However two points needs to be highlghted: it is too far from the city centre and the proprietor is more about the business than to please the guests. Don't be surprised if you fell like you are in the army while she explains you how the hostel works. She was quite rude sometimes, not just with us but with other guests as well.
