A good place to start your trip as it's on a pretty quiet street. Not much night life though, but a good amount of quiet.

Just stayed overnight. Checked in late in the evening without any problems. Staff were excellent both for check in and check out and I hope they are adequately compensated by management as they are doing a good job. Breakfast was fairly basic but food was good quality and there was plenty.

A real gem, i was here for a week of job interviews and this was perfect, own room, lots of space, free brekkie. I'm already booked to stay again when i get back to Auckland.

The location of Aspen House is excellent. Only a couple of streets away from all the action but in a quieter area across from a park. The hotel is cheap with a good included breakfast however you get what you pay for. I stayed in the single shared bathroom room which was very simple. Bed sheets and towels looked like they had permanent stains on them and room was very old looking. However, for the price you couldn't ask for much more. Didn't see the rooms which are in the pictures. The Airbus also drops off and picks up right in front of the hotel which makes getting to and from the airport much easier.

I chose to stay here because I wanted a private room for the night and in the back packers it's pretty much the same price. I had a double ensuite in the new bit and it was really nice, GREAT shower. Good to catch up on sleep but not much fun for meeting people etc.
