I can't praise the staff enough on how welcoming and helpful they were, plus what a fun crew! The hostel itself was pleasant. We were put in a room that was right next to the metro and heard the trains go by at all hours, which didn't help the sleeping situation much - so I would suggest earplugs if you happen to be in one of these rooms. The breakfast was simple but very nourishing. It is located very close to a metro stop which was very convenient and there is a grocery store (with ATM) and laundry mat right down the street. The bathrooms were a little sketch and some of the toilets had issues flushing. All in all, it was a great experience!

Nice place! Very young crowd, and the staff (some) is a bit flakey, but overall good.

Ricky the Manager is an absolute sweetheart. He is friendly, welcoming and helpful. He makes you feel at home from day one and is an absolute delight to be around! All in all Astor Kensington is a great little spot for travellers on a budget.

There is a very loud train that runs outside the window until after midnight and from 7am making it difficult to sleep.

Room 23 is above a night club. Expect music to blast until about 3am.
