- “ You simply cannot beat the location of this charming place. Nearby are a ton of food options and around the corner is a student lounge to Concordia that is open almost 24/7. The number of options for things to do around here is astounding. ”

- “ It was superbly clean. I felt safe and the hostel was in a very convenient location. Would highly recommend this hostel and come again. Only possible downside - there's a bar that plays loud music right outside, so it was a little difficult to fall asleep between midnight and 2 am on Saturday night. Still worth it to stay here, though, because everything else was great. ”

- “ The staff is very friendly and help you in any circonstances. Location, near rue St Catherine, is perfect for visiting the different district of the town. ”

- “ Highly recommended. Convenient location, friendly staff, clean rooms an bathrooms and breakfast is included, the only thing that caught my attention was that they don't have paper napkins at breakfast, instead they had a big toilet paper roll to use it as napkins (?).... ”

- “ I went up to Montreal and stayed here for three nights with friends. I was amazed at how clean and beautiful the inside of this hostel was. The staff here was also incredibly friendly and helpful! The hostel is also right in downtown Montreal, and next to Crescent street, a street notorious for its nightlife. Overall, its a great place (even better and more charming than many hotels I've been too)! ”

- “ Comfy, clean and clichy. The hostel has a small, but comfy common area where most people congregate - during my visit (April 2013) there is quite a clichy social life with travelling French and Quebecois. Maybe not the best if you don't speak too much French! The communal kitchen upstairs is under equipped and not too clean. However, the bedrooms and bathrooms were always clean and functional, with secure lockers in every bedroom and everyone is very trustworthy in the hostel. ”

- “ It is very good that you have thick doors but if you're sleeping in the bed next to the door, the door's closing noise is very annoying. ”

- “ Although Montreal is a bilingual City a conversation with the staff was hardly possible cause most of them speak only French. The Hostel didn't feel very secure cause every stranger could simply walk in (no keycards or anything to enter the first two doors). The rooms where clean but the washrooms and especially the shared kitchen was disgusting. It felt like the kitchen didn't get a cleaning for month. Unfortunatelly the internet connection was the worst I ever had in hostel. It was very loud! ”

- “ The Auberge Bishop was an excellent value for the cost and what really made it shine was the staff. They were extremely helpful at giving directions and recommendations as well as overall friendly and helpful attitudes. The linens were clean and the hostel is well maintained. Position on Bishop street puts one within a 40 minute walk of old montreal and there's plenty of things to see in between including McGill, the Arts district and more. ”

- “ It was AWESOME. I was so nervous about staying at a hostel at first, but the friendly staff and amazing environment made it one of the best vacations I've ever been on. I felt incredibly safe and at home. The staff is wonderful; they will go above and beyond to make sure you're comfortable and safe. ”

- “ This was a nice hostel, very pretty with a wooden curving staircase and a stained glass window. However it was not social at all and there were rarely people just hanging out. The beds were really comfortable though. The bathrooms were oddly all over the place because it seems like it was an old house. You get breakfast in the morning but they're just store bought croissants. Right next to Rue Ste Catherine and about a 10 min walk to McGill. All in all a good hostel, just a bit less social. ”

- “ Very cool hostel in cool part of Montreal. Lots of bars, restaurants, clubs, and cafes nearby. It was also very clean and the staff was very nice and helpful. Breakfast was included! ”

- “ Has a lot of character, yet is very clean and comfortable. The bathrooms are unisex which is not ideal. The location is very good and the staff are friendly. Breakfast is provided but it's just toast - great that breakfast is provided at all but don't be prepared for anything fancy. I was the only female in my room which made me slightly uneasy. Overall, it was a really good experience! ”

- “ Adorable place - has a Hogwarty feel to it with all the old woodwork. Three friends and I stayed in a four person dorm which was great since we had the room to ourselves. The staff was very nice, they showed us on a map where to park our car (there's a public garage on the next street over - it was $25 for 24 hours), and were really chill when we lost one of our keys. Breakfast was good with croissants, toast, fruit, coffee, tea, and juice. Lots of restaurants nearby. ”

- “ Stayed 4 nights during a nice winter trip to MTL. Staff friendly & helpful. Dbl room was nice & cozy, 2 sitting chairs were nice to use. Hotel is centrally located. Area neighborhood is good for shopping & college bars, so we took the Metro (a short walk away) to other cool neighborhoods. The crowd at the hostel was on the young (college) side. Advice: bring your own towels, hostel towels weren't very good. Be warned: The "breakfast" is only coffee and store bought croissants. ”
