This is a great place to stay if you're looking for a clean, nice hostel that's well located in Montreal. It's not a "party" place for sure, but I was happy to have a safe, clean, and cheap place to stay in this beautiful city. Also, if you drive, there are 2 cheap indoor car parks on Mackay Street. The price, comfort, and location made this hostel a fantastic place to stay during my trip to Montreal. The staff was super helpful and accomodating, the beds and bathrooms were clean, and the people that stayed there were all very friendly. All in all, I highly recommend this hostel! I have to say this is the best hostel that I have ever stayed in. The staff are friendly and helpful, the rooms are clean and warm, the beds are comfortable and warm, there is free internet and TV, great breakfast and a friendly atmosphere. This hostel is quite chill compared to the energy levels and party scenes of other hostels i've been to. Just be sure to book ahead of time, especially for a weekend, as the hostel continues to accomodate with beds spread laid out in open area right next to the reception desk. In a great location, everything is very close by including the metro. Although not as busy as a more larger hostel, there's others nearby where you can hostel-crash their activities. It's probably one of the nicest hostels I stayed at. The atmosphere is quite familiar. It's Pauls place so everything is kept clean and well equiped. I enjoyed my stay and it made me a little bit weepy to leave it and lovely bohemian montreal.
