- “ Prior to my first stay at a hostel, I was hesitant and wasn't sure what to expect. However, my concerns quickly disappeared as I was really impressed by everything at Auberge L'apero. It had a great atmosphere, lots of space, friendly staff, very clean (which is super important to me)! Great value, and I would definitely stay there again. I have already recommended this hostel to a couple friends/travelers! ”

- “ Very nice stay. Great cost-value ratio. Exactly what you expect from a hostel. Its close to the city center. Cheap. Clean. Secure. I like that lockers are included. ”

- “ i stayed for a weekend in Montreal. it wasnt very lively at the hostel and i didnt meet many people but the security was super good and it was such a clean hostel. if you are looking for a place to sleep that is close to town then its great but if you are looking for a party hostel then it isn't so much. ”

- “ It was my second time that I stayed at this hostel and I am very satisfied. It is conveniently situated in Montreal and offers good accommodation at a good price. The only thing I do not like are the stairs but you cannot do much about them. I highly recommend the hostel ”

- “ In general the Auberge is ok but there are some points to mention. The house itself seems to be in a poor condition. Our window was glued and we could not open it, there was insulating material coming down from pipes at the ceiling. No windows in the bathrooms, no window in the reception area - you just enter a "dark room". Did not look very friendly to us. Staff is friendly, though, and the kitchen and living room (2nd floor) are ok, too. You will get toast and jelly for breakfast. ”

- “ The hostel was quite loud. Although there is a common area upstairs, one of the staff members working at the front desk (on the first floor between three dorms) routinely socialized with guests until very late, 2 - 3 am. The bathrooms were clean and so was the linen. I really enjoyed being able to rent a towel for $1, and the free breakfast was also appreciated. ”

- “ I appreciated the hot water for showering and the great personal service. The owner and his staff went above & beyond to provide excellent service. I would highly recommend this hostel. The three areas that need attention are the entrance way (a coat of paint) the terrace (needs repairing) and the oven did not work. Thank you for the great service. Barb ”

- “ As far as I saw, there was only one employee, good guy, but nearly never there. So if you don't stay all day, then you can forget about showering. One of the showers are locating within the sleeping area, which residents happily use, in the middle of the night, since egocentrism is their (though I don't understand why, especially compared with the better hostels from, fi, HI hostels). Furthermore the beds were poor, rooms were light. Otherwise it was ok. ”
